Plus, the comfy room was just steps away from local gems like Krueger's Fish Market and Bridgeview Diner—perfect for grabbing a bite after a day of exploring! Can we talk about the super friendly staff, too? They really made me feel at home.

But hold on—the constant barking from dogs next door was an unwelcome morning concert, and I barely caught five hours of sleep! For over $300 a night, I expected a little more peace, not a canine alarm system. Definitely something to chew on for the hotel, right?

The location near the expressway made getting around really easy. Check-in was smooth and the staff were super friendly. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee and cookies in the lobby. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the two bathrooms in the suite were a big plus for our group. Breakfast included a decent range of options, but it could use more variety. The breakfast area felt cramped, especially during peak times, which made getting food a bit difficult. I appreciated the availability of breakfast 30 minutes earlier on the event day – that was very thoughtful. I did notice some noise from the highway, but the blackout blinds helped me sleep well enough. If the breakfast area could be expanded and more options added, it would greatly enhance the experience. Still, overall, a solid choice for a stay in Mackinaw City.

Staying here, noise became an unwanted companion, particularly from the expressway where semi-trucks made their presence known, along with loud guests coming and going late into the night. The faulty security card reader on the elevator and the open breakfast area raised safety concerns, adding to the discomfort. Additionally, unexpected delays at the reception desk reminded me that sometimes the waiting game becomes part of the experience.

The stay at Holiday Inn Express was efficient and well-managed, with clean and spacious rooms that met my business needs. The staff was attentive, ensuring all requirements for my meetings were met. The business center was well-equipped, which greatly facilitated my work tasks. I really enjoyed my stay here, as the views from my room were fantastic, allowing me to watch traffic on the iconic bridge, and I found it super convenient to stroll over to Alexander Henry Park for a relaxing afternoon in nature.

The room was super clean and the bed was incredibly comfy. Loved the pillows too! The views from the window were nice, and the breakfast options were really impressive. Overall, a great place to stay for sure!
